On August 25, volunteers from the Association of Legal Administrators distributed their first batch of backpacks and school supplies to more than 50 local children through Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans’ Lighthouse Program, which provides instruction and enrichment activities for youth outside of the regular school day. Operation Backpack was held at Robert Russa Moton Charter School, one of the Lighthouse Program’s community sites. The Association of Legal Administrators raised nearly $5,000 to purchase supplies for the students.
