On Thursday, May 14, Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans hosted its annual Reach For the Stars Breakfast at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner. The annual breakfast invites donors to join the Reach For The Stars Society, a group of supporters who make continuing commitments to provide exceptional support to those served.

The hundreds in attendance were treated to opening remarks from First NBC CEO Ashton Ryan, Jr. as well as stories of success from the people served through Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans’ programs.  Jim LeBlanc, President/CEO of Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans, closed the program with his vision for the future success of Volunteers of America in the community.

About Volunteers of America

Volunteers of America is a national, nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. Since 1896, our ministry of service has supported and empowered America's most vulnerable groups, including at-risk youth, the frail elderly, men returning from prison, people with disabilities, and those recovering from addictions. Our work touches the mind, body, heart-and ultimately the spirit-of those we serve, integrating our deep compassion with highly effective programs and services.
