Aliya's Story

"You'll love it here!"

A beautiful, safe community. Good schools nearby. Friendly neighbors. A great place to raise a family. All at an affordable cost.

"It's amazing," says Aliya, who has made The Groves at Mile Branch her home for three years with her 12-year-old son Ajani. "It's everything I wanted," she says about finding the apartment nestled among the trees in Covington on the North Shore.

When she first inquired about information and availability, Aliya was thrilled to learn that she qualified for a spacious 2-bedroom apartment on her single-par-ent income.

"I love my apartment. It has nice big rooms," Aliya says, adding "And, it's five minutes from my work and Ajani's school."

Originally from New York, Aliya and her son lived in Virginia before moving to Covington several years ago to be near her retired parents. They lived with her parents before finding a home at The Groves. Aliya has since returned to school and will soon graduate as a medical assistant. She hopes to continue working as a medical assistant at the local physician's office where she is completing her internship. If not, she's confident she'll find employment with other medical offices in the area.

It's another reason why she says her home's location is so convenient.

When asked by others about a great place to live, Aliya is quick to say, "Come to The Groves. You'll love it here!"
